When it was trading below $10 it was more attractive because the worst case payout was and still is $10(to my understanding). That was before the increase in Distribution per month. Curretly, the payout is roughly 9% no matter what the market does, unless the FTN split ends and you still get $10per unit, Interesting how people were willing to pay $10.21 for something that could only be worth $10.
There is a flight to safety, if you have been watching what is happeing in the Red Sea, Some ships have to detour to avoid Yemen attacks on transport ships. The US UK coalition reacted yesterday but this could also ignite a further conflict in the region, something the US doesnt want at the moment.
if shipping is detoured, expect a rise in everything from oil to foreign goods like automoiles.
The other uncertanty is the war in Ukraine, as Russia falls into disrepair at home as workers just arent available,,,,
Interesting times we live in!
Less than a month ago I paid 10.08 for 30K of FTN.pr.a now letting them go at 10.25+divi. Obviously they were a better buy sub 10 bought a fist full in the 9.50's last summer but if Quadravest is going to dump a bunch every three months or so I am happy to buy them. ps even the jokers that paid 10.21 are on side now GLTA
