Entry into a long position.

Hello all,
I have a gic coming due. Was thinking of purchasing this to add some utilities to the non registered portion of my portfolio for some diversification. Seems the price is getting more attractive of late. For a 10+ year hold, I'm thinking I might wait another month or 2. I've got a years worth of salary in this gic and I think a long term buy now would be a winner. Should I buy before the next ex div date or wait a bit since it's trending down slightly?

Great stock longterm. Price in down buy in small amounts. I just did this past week, in under 55. Gl

It's up to you what to do but if it was me, I'd buy right now but would split the dough between EMA & FTS.  I'm a big fan of both for steady eddy dividend growth, In fact, my wife & I have added even more to both throughout this year. Ciao   Sarge
