Is a reverse takeover an option? A private company may wish to go public. Maybe some debtholders be open to this and accept shares/debt. A rollback will probably happen to facilitate the transaction.

Hope then, the new company will be successful, raise money and the stock be promoted well. Maybe asking too much, but it's an option. Would accommodate creditors who did not get paid from an asset sale.

Take a chance this way, rather than selling the company as a whole and ending it for good.
