With Air Miles now having a GM promotion and Aeroplan going with Infiniti cars last year, it does seem like the loyalty business is unpredictable just like management said in their court documents. I thought Futura had exclusive rights in the car sales category, not Aeroplan themselves.

 

Signing up car dealers with Aeroplan only to be replaced with Air Miles in an instant would be a losing battle for Futura. Because of the above, especially with Air Miles muscling in for their share, I would prefer a new line of business via merger, etc.

 

I don't know the exact saying, but when elephants battle, everything gets trampled.
