Insider holdings Most of management either held stock or were creditors to the company. Here are some of the larger ones. Mark Farrell also owned stock, although not shown. David Beutel was the largest shareholder. The 15 million shares was only part of it by some accounts. The rest may have been beneficial holdings.
But he did not sell or could not. Could mean he was not aware of the troubles ahead. He also loaned the company money, as did Mark Farrell and other insiders. The company became like a family run business during the past 5 years, as insiders supplied all the money, thinking things are ok and they will recover their investment.
Just could not see the end coming. Maybe it's tougher to acknowledge problems when a company is run like a family business. The directors had loans to the company, so maybe were biased in favour of continuing at all costs. Providing good money after bad, instead of being truly independent.
