Future Dealers

Maybe Futura should approach Jim Pattison he owns a TON of dealerships and I think if Futura looked into it and could make a deal it would be a huge step in the right direction for them because I havent seen anything like this in any of him dealerships.

It's hard to understand the auto sales industry and their inner workings. Some of the dealerships who Futura signed on, offer Aeroplan as a thank-you bonus rather than a serious loyalty marketing program. The focus instead is on promotions which have been around for years. Cash bonus, employee pricing deals and so forth. Now it's the 2012 clearout time ...more

But back to Futura. The sign-ons have almost dried up. That's my immediate concern. I didn't call the company so I'm in the dark. Nothing on the US expansion or deal with Protractor Software for months.   Unless they are modifiying their POP system, they may wish not to launch more dealers until all is completed. Otherwise it would be an inconvience (re-learn)  ...more

I see what you are saying. It does always come down to the bottom line... I hope Futura can add more value to their program and then it will be more lucrative for a dealership to sign up.   I don't know a ton about the industry so I can't add a whole lot more. All I can say that I hope the sign ups dont completely dry up because I am still rooting for Futura as I think they have a lot ...more

I hope all is well with this company. They borrowed  $300K recently for working capital so the operation can continue. But how long can this type of financing go on to cover losses. But for now, it's a reprieve of sorts.   I thought they maybe were contemplating the sale of the company. The gross margin is healthy, nearly a million/year. How much would someone pay for that ...more
