What works

Active Green & Ross, Integra Tire and OK Tire. Success stories with Aeroplan. The bulk of Futura's Aeroplan revenues. Common link--- auto service, tires, etc. This is the way to go it appears, and less on car sales.

Auto dealer stats are unavailable, but service/parts would fit Aeroplan program marketing well. I would focus on retail auto service centers, and this is what management wants in the US. Car sales may not be a good fit as expectations made it out to be, but will contribute neverthelesss.

It's easy to think about the financial size of the car industry and extend the thinking to Aeroplan/Futura, but it may not be that easy. I like others were expecting a large number of sign-ons, even an acceleration of new launches as the months passed and word got out. But it appears the expectations were dashed, and so too the stock price.

The rollback rumour and debt issues have their impact, but no significant rise in revenues is the main driver on stock prices. I was even expecting a rollback with no negative impact on the stock price, but from a position of strength of much higher revenue potential offered by the auto industry. Unfortunately it has not come to pass.

Good thing I invested mostly in real estate with my past penny stock winners.

Don't know if the TRO sales rep (Territory Rights Owner) got the sign-on, or the dealership took the initiative after hearing it from someone. I was thinking Futura was getting it's POS system ready in the US for the past 4 months now and maybe it's ready to go now.   Got to stay positive. It's not easy. I have rambled on forum posts before for one ...more

About 6 months ago, there were 4 car dealers signed up from Connecticut. Two later vanished. One came back a few months ago and now the 4th one came back yesterday. Just wondering who signed up the 4. Had a good start, then it all stopped.   Still waiting for the Protractor Software partnership to kick in. I find it hard to believe there are no sign-ons yet with the ...more
