"Financing", "opportunities" seem to resonate positive. Normal business usage of these words would imply a business will continue is some form and get financed.
'....are unlikely to be sufficient" (in reference to paying unsecured creditors). The optimists would say, the word "unlikely" indicates uncertainty, but with some bias that even unsecured creditors could get a good portion back. This on top of the secured creditors, who would be first in line.
The only problem is the company would need to be sold off. It's possible debt will remain after any restructuring, but at a more acceptable level. Some creditors could go for a debt-share swap, making things look better. But then a rollback will have to be done.
Some may feel the NR has a positive tone. But then what do potential bidders want in return? And how will shareholder value be maintained?
Anyways. I'm relieved that the update was not about any sale and closing of the company. So I guess that's a positive for now.
