Interesting questions

Air Mile logos today on car dealership ads in newspapers. What is confusing is how both Aeroplan and Air Miles manage to get on a national scale Infiniti or GM dealers to offer miles for new car purchases in one swoop. Whereas Futura struggles with each dealer, painfully slow and one at a time.

Moreover, why do these national programs not include giving miles for parts/service, etc and only focus on car sales for a limited time only? Whereas Futura has been trying to bring the complete package to the car owner by having dealers offer miles for parts/service, etc.

The big money for Aeroplan and Air Miles is from car sales and that seems as far as the big players will go themselves. But then who will look after all the extras like parts/service? Futura was doing that until money problems came about.

Does Aeroplan want Futura to survive, to continue building a complete reward relationship with car dealers? A lot of questions on a higher level. But the more pressing question is, will Futura even survive.

An example:  https://www.westgatechev.com/en/   This dealershp was Futura's sign-on and was offertng Aeroplan for car purchases and parts/service. (The dealer is still on Futura's website)   Today the Air Miles logo appears on their webpage. Has Aeroplan been dropped? This is what I mean't that Futura should not be involved in the loyalty business ...more

And maybe, Air Miles is better than Aeroplan in the minds of General Motor executives. Maybe Dodge and Ford next for Air Miles. The final blow for Futura.
