RE:RE:BP what do you think AGG's ghana properties are with in today's market???
BP, Mali has had it's problems in the last 18 months but that will soon be history as of Aug 11th. I also remind you that none of the operating mines in Mali were ever effected by the unrest in the north or the coup. Personally I'd sooner be operating in Mali than the Congo or some of these other African countries. There has never been any history of mine expropriation in Mali and they have a stable royalty regime which is more than what you can say for Ghana at present.
On another note, I think it's safe to say that selling land positions just got a lot tougher since POG fell off a cliff but one would think Assankrangwa would still have some value for PMV or AKG and possibly others. It's a big block of land with a lot of historical gold occurrences and everything from Essase trends onto it.
We do agree on one thing though and that is the markets are one big mess right now and cash is king so that makes AKG a king but they don't have any assets worth developing in this environment. Be interesting to see if they try go hostile on someone like PMV but they're going to have to do something eventually.
