RE:RE:Insiders Selling

RE:RE:Insiders SellingIf you're talking about Chuck Keeling, he exercised a call for 25k shares at $16.10

He has an $81k capital gain on those shares.

Let's say he owes $20k in tax on the gains and $403k to exercise.  His bill for transaction was $423k.

He sold $484k worth of shares to cover transaction.

He chose to continue holding 5,071 shares with acb of $16.10.

Makes sense that he chose to hold remaining shares as insiders have much better understanding than retail speculators.

In addition to that, GC itself cancelled 300k shares at end of July.  Investing in itself during selloff.

Makes sense.

What makes no sense right now is pretending that underwater short positions in GC are the place to be.  They ain't.
