Where I live, It takes for ever to get a mortgage on a house, never mind this. The bank loaning the money, want title to your property, and guess what, the clerk that works at the Lands Title couldn't gives two hoots on a good day if we want the share price to increase, never mind if there is covid around. And you can bet no one else is going to do that persons job, after all it's the government ;)
