The owners of the Camrose Casino have proposed a relocation of their licence and premises to South Edmonton. A prominent group that lent money to build the Camrose Casino has written an objection which may mean AGLC will refuse the relocation.
Either way this seems to open an opportunity for Gamehost. If the relocation transpires they could buy the premises in Camrose and apply for a licence now that the process is open. There is no other casino there and from my understanding Camrose is a relatively prosperous town.
If the relocation is refused, then South Edmonton could be a possible expansion point as well. If it seemed viable to a competitor it could be for Gamehost. The Camrose Casino owner's already had a plan and location set up. If they can't get the relocation it may be worth stealing their idea. Edmonton is a huge market and would be great to get into although like Calgary there is a lot of competition.
Interesting but I think AGLC would not issue new license for relocating existing casino. License goes with the move if granted permission. Still, nice find. Thanks Cpeczek!!
