RE:RE:RE:Mini Budget is Rumoured to have a Buyback TaxJust when I figured Trudeau had harmed us enough, he pushes this garbage through:
https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/trudeau-vows-2-tax-on-share-buybacks-boosts-clean-tech-credits-1.1841504 Liberal's Buyback tax now 2%, which is double that of the US.
Not in effect until 2024.
GH could hold current half-div through 2023, max out NCIB, then double div in 2024 if SP is $12+
I'll call it now, Substantial Issuer Bids being announced 2022-2023 left and right!!
A 2% buyback tax doesn't sound like much, but like I just said earlier, opens the door for next hike. 4%? Why not 10%? Govt overreach not just forced experimental mRNA shots, now they want your company's free cash flow. Embarrassing but it's a sign of the times. Liberal govt sets benchmark for the ultimate mismanagement of country's finances.
Can't get rid of these Art's students posing as Country leaders fast enough.
Freedom Rally in Ottawa last winter was the canary in the coal mine.
