RE:CEOs That Own Large Portions of Their CompanyOnce you reach a certain size it would be very difficult to maintain a large portion of the shares as a single or group of shareholders. I noticed a lot of the large companies owned by billionaires like FB, BRK, TSLA, AMZN for example the person you think of owns maybe 10-20% of the shares but usually maintains voting power through dual share classes. The companies that are majority owned by insiders are usually smaller. There are a few on the TSX that have high insider ownership like GH (of course), MTY and RCH off the top of my head.
