RE: RE: GMI exploration updateFinding thick sulfides means they likely found an extension of the deposit - it is good news - the only question is how good, but that may take a lot more drilling.
The sulfides will likely contain gold, silver, copper and zinc just like the main deposit (although it looks like this is simply a continuation of the deposit that they missed while doing the original exploration drilling). Very likely that CdM will get bigger - the only question is how much.
The main pit is really a quite thin high grade sulfide core with oxide halo closer to the surface. Too early to tell how they may mine this extension - they could lay back the pit walls and open pit like they are doing now or they could simply drive tunnels from the side of the existing pit to high grade the deposit. It is encouraging that the first few holes hit sulfide mineralization relatively close to the surface - it always struck me that CdM was likely to get bigger, but I thought it was likely to be on trend to the South, not to the North.
I wouldn't be surprised to see good intercepts up to 3-5% Cu with good silver and gold credits.
