Many things to like in this Q1 results

The most interesting thing is that gross margin on revenues from customers of 19.7% in Q1-2024 compared to 11.6% in Q1-2023

Also the they will be able to lower the price of graphene production with a new dry process.

It a very good Q1 but a battery related news could have been nice.

These Q1/2024 results were expected. Falling increasingly short of attaining adjusted EBITDA profitability was also expected. Clearly, VoltaXplore is, as expected, a incrementally increasing drain on the current overall profitability of NanoXplore. However, soon enough VoltaXplore is to raise initial tranches of immediately required capital. This is capital which would necessarily immediately ...more

I was not all that impressed with Q1 numbers, and with the suggestion that business environment generally was less positive  although the  profit margin improvement was very positive. Just seems things materializing at a  somewhat slower pace than originally anticipated. However, the information and colour offered in the discussion this morning was hugely encouraging, particularly ...more

i dont see a huge tax selling season as the 200dma is around 2,80$...tsx is flat in 2023....I dont believe its a consideration.

Dumont, You stated "I wonder if the equity would be through more Nano shares, or if it would be against Volta in a separate entity?" Preferably by way of class A convertible equity issued by the VoltaXplore subsidiary. There is no need to further impair the existing remaining equity value held by NanoXplore shareholders, i.e. unless such a NanoXplore common shares equity offering is to ...more

I expect your aspirations of a $10 per GRA share offering is two or three years  off. Don't think Volta will want to wait that long. Let's just get through the next two months without losing positive attitude about the company. Today's action would suggest a lot of shareholders cannot see the forest for the trees.........metaphorically !

Dumont, You stated, "I expect your aspirations of a $10 per GRA share offering is two or three years  off. Don't think Volta will want to wait that long." What I am betting on Dumont is VoltaXplore becoming initially capitalized in order to procede with the initial 2GWh capacity facility build. That should ultimately serve in bringing in a revaluated minimum $5.75 handle for ...more

Love your optimism, Student1, just wish you'd cut Soroush a bit of slack. (Yes, I know you have said some positive things about him, but claiming he has something against smaller shareholders just doesn't hold water. I  believe he only worries about the comany's future success and is focussed soley on that end).  Time will tell !

Dumont, I have said lots of good things about Mr. Soroush Nazarpour and all of them were well deserved. Never the less, I call it like I see it. Perhaps were we to receive (lol) "The Nazarpour Gift", as he has so generously provided for others, we too would be less likely to hold such a viewpoint suggesting how Mr. Nazarpour seems to have something against we NanoXplore minority ...more

On a brighter note, volume seems to have picked up somewhat today. Perhaps getting a bit closer to the end of this little episode.

Yes. From your mouth to God's ears Dumont. Mr. Nazarpour buying roughly $40,000 worth of shares today should have signaled the new 52 week bottom was in. We will certainly see Dumont

Well, Revenue up, margins up, earnings still in the tank but loss less that last year; and, so far no profitability on the forseable horizon.  However, the story remains very positive and , to my mind, intact.  I would anticipate analysts will rachit down estimates somewhat .... 10-20% and continue with very positive outlook . I don't know how much more attractive the company will ...more

All good points Dumont. At the risk of angering the NanoXplore share price gods and consequentially having them take a sledgehammer to this seemingly $2.00 bottom testing share price I am never the less going to call this the $2.00 bottom. We know Q4 tax loss selling season is not over by a long shot and we know that the various institutional index investment funds managers and their fully ...more
