DO NOT BUY FROM ASK
Whaterver you buyers do - do not buy from ASK side. The stock is heavily washtraded - you buy from ASK then they will sell to themselves into BID and lower the price. Keep your money at BID and force them to sell to you.

I doubt anyone here is buying enough to make an iota of difference to "them". My 10,000 share orders might matter for about 15 minutes.

It may or may not. If they lose 10,000 shares to you they would still want to recover those shares and they need someone to sell it to them hopefully at similar prices which gets harder and harder with low volumes like that. At the very least that will save buyers 1.5% vs buying from the Bid side.
