RE: RE: natural gas chart pathetic
Furnaces and air-conditioners (electrical generation) don't represent a large percentage of gas consumption.  The decline we are seeing is industrial decay and shutdowns.  Fertilizer / oil sands / etc.  use a lot of gas and I'm sure there are other industries as well.  Over 31% of gas consumption is industrial I believe.  The international energy page explains the pie chart really well...

Just thought I would toss this in to mtn_biker's comment  "Instinct tells me that there isn't much market for Natural Gas until people start their furnaces again in the fall" - ummm not disputing the comment - PERSONAL HEATING DEVICES of course adds to consumption but probably won't be what drives this price.  Industrial consumption on the increase,  economic turn around coupled with decreased inventories.  I know I'm stating the obvious but there are so many factors to watch out for on NG.

Currently sitting on the side lines as I suspect the price of gas will turn up long before we get the headline telling us why...
