Florida Hotel Bookings in Wake of Idalia

Florida Hotel Bookings in Wake of Idalia
I thought the Florida Hotels may suffering from reduced bookings following Idalia. A review of the room availability shows bookings are still good with many being listed as almost sold out. I found the following review interesting.

Friendly, helpful staff, clean rooms, well located and good value.

I evacuated to this hotel for two nights / three days from my Gulf front home in the path of storm surge from Hurricane Idalia north of Tampa. Many of the other guests were also sheltering from the storm. The storm obviously made for less than ideal circumstances, but hotel management made sure the property was fully staffed and secure. This was a stressful time for me, but the following hotel staff were all friendly, proactive and kind and made my stay a good one. Please thank the following employees: Joseph the G/M, Keeli on the phone for late check-in and elite room upgrade, Theresia "TT" friendly and welcoming at check-in, Junior - friendly and helpful for two days and nights at the property providing services during the hurricane, Angelica and Jamie in housekeeping and finally Betty, friendly and funny at check-out. All contributed to an A++ stay! Please give them my thanks. The renovated room was clean and comfortable and the property provided a good value. And there was no hurricane-related price gouging and no hassle canceling the third and fourth days that I had reserved when I was able to go home earlier than expected. A good value and an A++ experience for a mid-level hotel. I'll be back
