Also know that it's from the 6:00 PM opening of COMEX or NYMEX that they calculate change and not from the close of TSX trading. So if you are betting HOU... and oil closes at 5:15 PM $45... and opens at $49.50 at 6:00 PM and stays there until 9:30 AM when HOU starts trading in Toronto, then HOU won't move very much...
Do I have that right guys ? It's the percentage move from market open, not from the last trade on HOU. I'm not sure if they give you a small adjustment in order to prevent shareholder rioting at the Horizon offices...
If I'm wrong about this please feel free to correct me as I haven't studied it but rather listened to Vinnie what's his name on BNN explain it that way.
I'm not sweating the nickels and am just happy it moves at all and has volume. And that there is a Bear part to it for those that believe that oil is going ALL THE WAY to $30...
