What to make of the NR?
What to make of the NR?What are we to make of the news release? It is a news release totally devoid of any actual facts about what they have found (or not found) in the last month or more. We just get statements such as "Sugar Zone mineralization encountered" and "one mineralized structure has been intersected to date in Area B". No assay results and also no mention of the average g/t in the bulk sample.
The news release has a tone of understated positiveness. Usually news releases put a positive 'spin' on the facts so IMHO there is a reason for the news release coming out today - the drill cores they have seen to date have been disappointing, probably no visable gold. They have put out the NR before the assays come back so they do not have to publish poor results.
They have also brought themselves a heap of time. “The Company will release drill results once adequate drilling has been completed”. With each hole taking 2 to 3 weeks to drill and each rig is to drill 12 holes, management have given themselves up to 6 months before announcing the drill results. IMO this is in order to maximise the chances of finding some minerialized intersections worthy of reporting before giving us ANY facts.
They are doing their utmost to avoid the share price tanking.
Having said that, I'm still in for the long haul. I believe that sooner rather than later, they will find minerialized intersections worthy of reporting. SR has a goal of 1m oz by the end of the year. I am backing him to meet this goal.
