NgdThere is no question when the current management took over from Oliphant at ngd they have saved it from Bankrupcy and slowly but surely have got Rainey river operating better. It however is very low grade and with the decline in the price of Gold it will be an ongoing struggle .New Afton is what has kept the company going through all of this.NGD share price is way down from what it was a few years ago ,it has recovered a bit recently .Too risky for me though.
Silver Lake seems to have its mines running smoothly in Australia and I am not aware of any issues with the miners who work for them .There is difficulty getting people to work in mines these days and labor is in demand and there are shortages.Whether there would be any cultural issues between Aussie management and a Canadian mine I have no idea ,I would imagine it would depend on who runs the mine and whether any of the current mine managers are kept on or not .No matter who takes over I imagine changes will be made which will create uncertainty for a period of time until the mine becomes profitable and sustainable at current gold prices.
