RE:RE:A tale of 2 strategiesBarely cashflow positive? Check the cash flow statement for Q3, they nearly doubled their operating cash flow to 773 million from last quarter, and this is at low oil prices of sub $45/barrel.

The reason the stock is down is because they missed earnings but the smart investor should always check the rate of change in cash flow as well - cash will start squirting into husky when oil crosses (and stays above) the $50 mark. And with it a nice fat juicy dividend too

I think husky is doing the right thing by cutting debt - as interest rates go up, companies like CNQ and Suncor will start feeling the heat to pay off their enormous debt loads - this will eat a big chunk of their future cash flows.
