Agreed CNQ is too heavily in debt but I think if they can rein in on their capex which was over $7 billion last year to more of their norm run rate of $4-5 billion they can free up cash to pay their debt. Think these cuts all across the board will lead to no growth just sustainment. Production will be down for sure ... Prices can't be sustained because OPEC+'s other partners other than Saudi and Russia will be devastated so I'm sure most won't have capital to grow either. Even Saudi and Russia will be impacted... Definitely interesting times but cool heads will prevail just ensure that the producer that you invested in has enough capital to ride out this massive storm!

yep, could be IMO and TOU also don't use mainstream brokerage services too so bnn analysts don't sing their song either. I wonder what cnq gonna do with all the devon staff they inherit from the last takeover.  Cnq made a promise not toe lay off devon staff, that was one promise cnq made to devon. (devon is also an ethical company who try to look out for their employee). Luckily cnq horizon is in place and mostly paid for. I think this covid19 is overblown due to massive media coverage. 50,000 americans died from regular flu each year while 5000 died so far WORLDWIDE from covid19.  I read chinese news saying covid19 has peaked and new cases are dropping, however that is chinese news, dunno how trustworthy it is.  Like all pandemic, it accelerate, peaks and then fades away. This covid19 is killing (20% of infected) the 65+ with pre existing issue.  Economically speaking, it lessen the pension and healthcare burden which ALL governments dream about.  If one still believe oil/gas be around for alot longer, this is an opportunity to buy low. I'm not telling u buy oil stock, just saying timing is important in any investment.
