It's a blessing because they can charge prices based on "global markets - Brent" while WCS is 7 bbl, all the way to the bank.

Electric cars are now dead because govts will be tapped out in bailouts. Even the optics of subsidizing cars for the weathy will be unpalatable, if not unaffordable, and without strong subsidies there is no threat to gasoline vehicles that now have an extra 25 years.
