Retail sale to IMO

I know this is anecdotal evidence and there has been no announcement but a neighbourhood Husky gas station in Ontario just changed to an Esso. Did anyone else notice a similar change in their area?

Sorry just found my answer. Why are some of your locations changing to Esso? Did Esso buy Husky? No. Imperial Oil and Husky entered into an agreement to brand our network of cardlocks to Esso. As part of the agreement, Husky Travel Centres and a select number of Husky retail stations are also changing fuel brands from Husky to Esso and are offering Fuel Technology Synergy gasoline (Synergy Fuel ...more

It is a shame that the HSE service station sale wasn't completed before this disaster struck because that cash would have looked very good in the bank.

It's a blessing because they can charge prices based on "global markets - Brent" while WCS is 7 bbl, all the way to the bank. Electric cars are now dead because govts will be tapped out in bailouts. Even the optics of subsidizing cars for the weathy will be unpalatable, if not unaffordable, and without strong subsidies there is no threat to gasoline vehicles that now have an extra ...more
