RE: Market call - Eric Nuttal This does not mean a thing because what they do is show him the names that are called in a he decides which he wishes to talk about. He is up to date on only a few stocks out of the oil universe that he can talk intelligently about with facts and numbers. He may know something about it and comment on it but he has his portfolio holdings which he no doubt would prefer to focus on. He will be careful what he says. Many institutional sale brokers will be aware of what he says looking to see if he is a potential buyer or seller of anything. They immediately tell their traders because they all arrange their trading desks so that the sales brokers sit near the trading desks. If he was intending to buy he would never mention it. They will eat him alive on the tradings desk if they new his interest. But also he would not talk about it if he had nothing interesting to say. The traders and sales brokers will know his holdings and they will remember exactly how many shares of anything they sold him in the past. They are looking for commission and to sell him perhaps taking on the trade on the other side or selling from their own account. It can be potentially quite dangerous being on these shows for small cap managers if they show any interest in a stock they don't own but would like to own or otherwise.
