Publishers scramble for printing capacity due to high demand

Publishers scramble for printing capacity due to high demandBNN Bloomberg interview on book store restrictions erc. In my view the gloomy picture for retail short term due to covid is well known. 5 minutes into the interview it is clearly said that publishers (still) have limited capacity due to strong demand overall (despite covid). Now Obama's book will be a must-buy for many. Obama is a great author (achieves more there than he did in politics) so I guess that demand for the book will be high in Canada. Despite gloomy foot traffic picture I guess increased online sales will make up for the shortfall in Indigo's case. At the end of the interview there is a discussion about Amazon. This is a potential trigger for Indigo. Amazon's monopolistic Rockefeller-like tactics need to be reigned. Trudeau and his socialist/liberal friends ought to support a diverse market place and the survival of Canadian retailers. One way is to regulate price for books which is described here https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fixed_book_price https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/economics/video/book-sales-are-suffering-from-a-lack-of-face-to-face-interaction-ben-mcnally-books~2086122?jwsource=cl
