Russia/Ukraine are main sources of wood for the EU. I find it strange that there has been no mention of NA wood to fill the void or is there no embargo on Russian wood? This would support NA pricing should this opportunity happen IMO.

I recall reading in CIBC's weekly lumber updates recently that inventory levels at European ports (along with Japan's port) are at high levels.  I'm sure once those levels decrease, North American exports will increase to make up for the Russian lumber, which would be good for N.A. producers.  F Russia and Ilim Timber.  They'll probably sell logs to China who will
