Rumors about buyouts etc,

I hear a lot of chatter on the bullboards about buyouts , mergers, partnerships, share swaps ect. People believe that since the IAMGOLD price hit a 52-week low of $1.80, the company will be picked-up by one of the bigger companies in need of ore reserves. It’s not that simple, the whole mining sector is being pulverized by the major drop in the gold price. As best I know, there are no ongoing negotiations or discussions with any potential interested parties. None of my contacts close to the action can substantiate any of these rumors. Moreover, IMHO there is no individual qualified at the Senior Management level in the IAMGOLD organization to carry-out these negotiations!! If anyone is aware of something going on, please contact me and I’ll get the ball rolling…Transparency with the shareholders is a good thing…
