RE:OK Boss

RE:OK BossFirstly thanks for responding. Secondly...yes doing your own dd is prudent and we all do it to  the best of our abilities..3rd...im not in a bad position...4th..this is not about mg's numbers being right or wrong...and 5th...here is where i disagree with you i guess:

Mg's numbers are as relevant today as they were 1 year ago.

What makes mg's numbers less correct today?
I mean take his numbers and subtract the new debt...big deal right?
Or perhaps others know more detail about 'assumptions as you mentioned' that may have changed because other than being delayed, and some debt, not much else has changed (or at least we dont know) (re:final stages remember).

I supported mg's theories on prices throughout the year so im not dumping on him.
By the way, does anyone know how many shares mg currently has?

If the sdi's have failed and no revenues are expected, then of course old dd is not relevant...but as far as we know the sdi's are still in play are they not?

pipsqueak3 wrote: I won't speak about the valuation provided by Mark a year ago because it's not fair to him and none of my business, nor is it relevant today - from a common sense pov.

But I will say that I do respect him and have independently come to very similar conclusions about how to have a long term, consistant, successful career in investing - his methodology is sound and I do believe that his work here with Intermap is part philanthropic.

I think what is most important in these investments is that everyone should DYODD. And, in these types of investments, it's a very dangerous business Giving away your own DD.

The reason no targets from a year ago are relevant today is obviously because we are still dealing with many unknowns. We had built in many assumptions a year ago (from the guidance provided by mgmt) that have been stripped away today - and going forward, those who built models (any rational investor) have learned that we can no longer be making any more assumptions. Therefore, theoretically, another approach is needed. Specifically - create a logic model, create scenarios, and stress test the hell out of it.
