RE:The LKS offer is NOT good news for share priceDisagree.  The offer was very relevent.  It has established a $30 minimum base price that 
another corp was willing to pay when the stock was languishing in the low $20's.   That 
to my mind is a significant signal to the market how undervalued IPL was and still is.  I
don't think many people would have balked if La ka Shing was to bump up his offer to 
say $35 in cash.  I agree that the regulatory hurdles would be insurmountable but you
would also see IPL trading at $35 or higher.   Anyone have a problem with that despite
the bidder was Ka Shing.   I,  and I suspect many others would have taken their profits and
moved on gladly.   I don't agree that that mgmt did me a favor by not presenting the offer
and decided to keep it quiet..
