Conference call

Conference callJust listened to the conference call. The HPC thing is basically a done deal. Nobody on the call was questiong the how and when; all the analysts were trying to tease out details on what it meant financially. A lot of good questions and very good answers as to what happens between now and then, when we get visibility on contracted capacity (when they reach the 70% mark or before production starts). It seems things are well on track in terms of construction, contracting with various entities to make sure all the pieces are interchangeable when it starts up (rail integration, supply lines, ..)
The storage business is going gang busters.
+$2B in financial capacity and only $1.1 to go to HPC startup so  they can easily pull this off on their own but may yet acquire a partner. The new Alberta energy program may provide some benefits but it's not a focus. Conventional oil is coming back strong too. No Covid cases but of course some productivity loss (and earlier declared cost to deal with it) but it seems well managed. All in all a much better call than the last few. Some very specific questions that were responded too well with data at hand.
