OfferRelax,  this is just the first salvo.   I'm sure Brookfield expects to pay more but the fact that
they're interested says how discounted they believe IPL is.   Sure,  they.ll take it at this
price if IPL shareholders are desperate or dumb enough to sell.   I don't think they are but
it begs the following questions

1.  at what price would shareholders and mgmt agree to a deal

2.  how high would Brookfield be willing to go on a final offer.

This is where it gets really interesting and is there someone else out there like PPE
who might want to throw in a bid?     Now mgmt will have to adress this with an estimation
of what they think the company is worth.    This might be the catalyst to help overcome the
chronic undervaluation that exists in the market  and ever since covid tanked the s/p.
