I would read that as Brookfield may not be the only party of interest.

The way the stock is acting there are currently no other bidders. Gut tells me most companies in this sector do some sort of business with Brookfield and do not want to get involved. I think it's going to take a foreign or American bidder which in itself comes with a whole bunch of regulatory risks...
