Ivanhoe Mines Ltd. is a Canada-based mining, development, and exploration company. It is focused on the mining, development and exploration of minerals and precious metals from its property interests located primarily in Africa. Its projects include Kamoa-Kakula Complex, Western Foreland, Kipushi and Platreef. The Kamoa-Kakula Complex project is a stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, approximately 25 kilometers (kms) west of the town of Kolwezi and approximately 270 kms west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi. The 17 licenses in the Western Foreland cover a combined area of 2,407 square kilometers to the north, south and west of the Kamoa-Kakula Copper Complex. The Kipushi Project lies adjacent to the town of Kipushi and 30 kms southwest of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi. Its Platreef project is situated approximately eight km from Mokopane and 280 km northeast of Johannesburg, South Africa.

RE:RE:RE:Down 20 cents from todays high.I think technicals are a way of looking at how all of these factors play out in price, You are right that there is a background of political risk in DRC and SA that does not help, but that was there in 2016 on the big run too.

In the end I think the market has become complacent on IVN.  Too many stellar NR over the past year.  What would be a company-making NR for any other company is just another in succession for IVN.  When everyone expects the drilling results will be stellar, the response when they are seems to be ho-hum and the market drives it relentlessly down.

Still long on the thesis here, but convinced there is more sp pain in store.  As those who crow about Voisey's Bay will recall, there were some serious down drafts with that stock before it went into orbit.

You can hold and ignore the noise, or you can be more active.  I'll have 30% more shares when I buy my full position again, so I think it is worth the effort of watching and trading a few swings. Unortunately, the trend is down for the time being.
