If you look at the data for IVN, the short volume has been fairly stable in the last 3 months. Why not blame it on profit taking or lack of conviction? Shorting a stock is more dangerous than going long. It's an easy way to go bankrupt if you don't do proper DD. People don't just do it to piss longs off.
