Ivanhoe Mines Ltd. is a Canada-based mining, development, and exploration company. It is focused on the mining, development and exploration of minerals and precious metals from its property interests located primarily in Africa. Its projects include Kamoa-Kakula Complex, Western Foreland, Kipushi and Platreef. The Kamoa-Kakula Complex project is a stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, approximately 25 kilometers (kms) west of the town of Kolwezi and approximately 270 kms west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi. The 17 licenses in the Western Foreland cover a combined area of 2,407 square kilometers to the north, south and west of the Kamoa-Kakula Copper Complex. The Kipushi Project lies adjacent to the town of Kipushi and 30 kms southwest of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi. Its Platreef project is situated approximately eight km from Mokopane and 280 km northeast of Johannesburg, South Africa.

RE:RE:Hey crow, if indeed there will be a deal A Freeport or any other big name would bring in the traders for sure. The Chinese have made this whole operation happen as they supply skilled labour that actually works hard, supplied all the materials to build these mines on time and budget.
It is hard to believe that the Chinese would want to share the riches of IVN/WF as they have the money to trump any other players bid. I get the size of everything but why would China share the prize?? They can easily bring in another 15,000 workers to build these new mines and we know they can supply anything needed.
Don't get me wrong as I really want new blood in the mix to shake things up and get the SP moving. Either way RF is not going to give this away to anyone.
Who knows when the hammer drops and we get the exciting news. It will be a block buster NR when it comes out.
