RE:too funny.....all that " African risk" IVN is mining today. Yes, companies with assets located in North America do face the risk of strikes, but I'd rather see a company face that short-term challenge vs. major political or climate change catasrophes. CNR, CP, TECK.B, L, MRU, EMP.A, etc. etc. all have unionized workers and all have faced or experienced union strike action over the years - nothing out of the ordinary.
BTW, does anyone realize that, at 19.14, IVN is currently trading at a P/E of over 100....? Looks like the share price may be way ahead of actual profitability at IVN with a lot of expected future good news already baked into the cake, and given they only hold partial ownership of their projects combined with the massive capex spending they have planned, such a multiple appears seriously unjustified. How much of their share price gain in 2024 to date is based on the rise in the price of copper so far this year vs. IVN's actual quarterly results and announcements / press releases...?
