Inflation

what the f### is going on? Inflation up 7 percent. Bond yields which should be up are down. Gold that should be up is flat and stock futures that should be down are up.

Not sure if that type of inflation is great for the economy but it sure bodes well for commodities. Friedland, inflation won't be around forever ... could merely be transitory. However, it may be time to start hedging copper production at your earliest opportunities !!! eom

This has been fairly consistent since the dot com bust in 2000.  Kinda correlates with the timeframe in which Internet became a household thing and investeors for self became, umm, more 'knowledgable'. I agree partially with your sdtatement.  For 100 years gold has been the go-to when stocks sag or inflation/interest rises.  I think this is part of a new normal that we all ...more
