So what happened to the Veris Gold Toll Agreement?

So what happened to the Veris Gold Toll Agreement?
Just vanished and then 7 days ago Newmont annouceses deal with Veris for short ton toll agreement?

What are the odds that KDX ends agreement with Veris and Newmont picks it up? So what is Newmont the middle man here (my assumption but the timing of this smells)? Is it to look at and sample material before its refined?
