Bullboard - Stock Discussion Forum KLONDEX MINES LTD. T.KDX

"Klondex Mines Ltd is a gold and silver producer engaged in exploration, development, and production of its properties. KLONDEX MINES LTD. > My only real concern...

My only real concern...

...is how much of the remaining production this year is forward sold.  More than anything else it pisses me off when gold miners hedge.  I own gold miners because I want maximum exposure to gold prices.  Gold miners should normally never hedge.  The only exception is when large near-term development expenditures must be funded from cash flow and the company is does not have sufficient cash on hand to cover these costs.  That has been the case for Klondex in the recent past.  That is not the case currently so I hope that they have ended the forward sales.  I'm going to be pretty mad at management if they are still selling forward into this clearly rising gold price environment.

I think the short interests are shorting again today in anticipation of a big pullback in POG which will result in a selloff of shares in Klondex.  The only other reason is that I can think of is a large hedge book at much lower gold prices.

The real concern is hatter graben. Prove it and this stock rockets to $7 cad. If market doesn't like the drill results this will be under $4 for a while. SP is lower now than at POG at $1250. Kind of like an exploration company right now tbh. I sold out a while back and am waiting. It is okay if i miss the first 25 cents or so on a run up but i think it is safer to wait for confirmation. Captain,  While I agree that Hatter Graben is important, these guys worked there before, so they should have a pretty good read on the geology.  I also think an $80,000 buy by Schultz a week ago is a positive sign.  Everyone was selling earlier in the year -This was the first big buy this summer and they have better insights on Hatter Graben than we do.  I can't believe a ...more

Yep. They wouldn't spend $ 80 M USD for the purpose of "guessing" HG "might" have gold. Based on prior drilling from their time at Great Basin, they obviously have a very sound assessment of what is in the ground at HG.   Furthermore, regarding commodities in general, there is always a lull before the equities catch up to the spot price of the underlying commodity ...more

YES actually by definition they are a MIDTIER which is going to be PRODUCING 230,000 oz. of gold this year after RAISING GUIDANCE in Q2 conference call. That is MIDTIER material. The co. should update its description.  So not a distortion at all. Were you up all night... I see you post on here up until 3:03 AM on a Saturday night? Wow.
