Key switching to Quarterly dividends too

Another of my monthly payers has decided that quarterly dividends are the way to go.  That just leaves REITS and some ETFs that pay-out monthly.

Not happy with the trend given that computers have generally lead to more efficiency at handling transactions.  Maybe they are just trying to encourage longer holding periods for the traders?

Whitecap pays a very nice monthly dividend that is expected to be increased in the next quarter or two . Currently yielding over 5%

KEY didn't say that but I think no question they will. First quarterly dividend of CAD0.48. Understand it will lower their costs, but as a retire, I will miss the monthy pay cheque.
