MOA

MOAThis was posted on May 6 and copied from ceo.ca

S
eems like both sides have some work to do. But at the same time, I read into this that some locals (currently working for the mine or employed by contracted services related to the mine) are faring better than other locals. The mine cannot employ every local right now and how many miles from the site do the locals belive they should be part of this (the first KNT riots has some unhappy locals that were quite far away). From what I have read, KNT has been a fairly good investor in PNG (knt employment consists of 90-95% local employees, envirnomentally friendly, locals use the KNT doctors etc.).

The positive here is that Lewins has acknowledged KNT is working in the landowners back yard and Tuke has not been/said anything  as negative as the Barrick situation.

I believe the MOA  will be signed but the landowners/youth will never be happy (GREED)!! JMO!
