KNT 1st Half CatalystsA lot of talk here but let's review the data and recent news catalysts:
January 11- 4th q 2022 production number highlights:
* Gold Eq sold= 36,145... the previous high was 28,112 in 1st q 2020
* Gold Eq grade= 12.1... the prior 2021 quarters in succession were 9.6, 10.3, 8.5
Note: The 9.6, 10.3, and 8.5 Gold eq resulted in eps= 0.02, 0.02 and 0.01
respectively. These are the lowest eps numbers since 2019
January 24- Guidance 2022 highlight comments
* High margin production which i read as Gold Eq >12 which did not occur in
1st 3 quarters of 2021
* Negative comment was AISC between $890- 970 which bothers mew but
maybe they set high with expectations that they would come in under $890
February 23- Resource Updates
* As discussed here, very positive resource update
Bottom line:
The 4th q eps will be reported end of this month.
Again, 1st 3 quarters of 2021 eps were 0.02, 0.02 and 0.01 (pathetic).
Those quarters also correspond to Gold eq grades at 9.0, 10.3 and 8.5
... since we've been told that Gold eq grade for 4th q is 12.1,
that is a major positive.
In addition, the 1st 3 quarters of 2021 had cost of rev/rev % at 58, 59 & 71%
... in 4th q 2019 when eps was $0.10, this number was 42%.
In short, if they can get their cost of reve/revs below 50% with 12.1 grade then
with Gold eq sold 33% higher than highest previous quarter, expect good eps.
Prediction for 4th q eps end of March:
KNT 4th q eps= 0.05/share but this does nothing for trailing earnings as prior
4 quarters were 0.02, 0.02, 0.01 and 0.05 so 0.05 is replaced with 0.05.
I expect the big KNT move to happen when KNT reports 1st q in mid- May
when production should be even higher and they've mentioned
"high margin production" in referenced January release.
A 1st quarter number eps number at $0.0.08 (my guess) will get market
attention and the average gold price in 1st q may be $60 higher than 4th q
For the market, it is about earnings. Good luck!
