8% royalty

A royalty is being proposed by the Biden administration on mining company profits.
Not that this would affect KRR directy, but mining sector stocks are out of favor as is.
Too bad that 8 or 10 percent needed to offset diminished profit couldn't just be added on to the price of what is being mined.
Unfortunetly, we all know that it doesn't work that way. The republican led house would probably not approve the proposal, but they may not be in charge next fall. If the proposal gains momentum, let's hope that a potential outgoing tide does not sink all ships.
This may prove to be a creative way for the government to increase it's revenue. If it goes through, there will undoubtedly be more out of favor industries affected by a similar approach.
