Is this the wild west or what

News was out Wed. night our time. Trading in RMS was halted until probably Monday A.M. which is Sunday evening in Australia time.
In the meantime, trading in KRR is being allowed to continue. I find that somewhat out of the ordinary.
But, strange things happen down under, as well as in Canada.
After reading the RMS announcement, I inferred that a deal would be announced by Sunday night or there may not be a deal, at least for the time being. I sat through the Newcrest aquisition, which seemed to take forever with no outside bidders. Back and forth, back and forth, right on front street.
As to speculation regarding the size of the offer, no matter which currency it's in, the numbers being thrown around do not seem to represent much of a premium IMO. Five bucks U.S. sounds in the ballpark. More than that would be a lot sweeter.
Hope they don't give it away.
