I see it exactly the same way Epidiolex is pure CBD. GW Pharma's patent relates to epilepsy treatments. But a generic version of Epidiolex can work against other diseases that are not yet patented. Just as an example, the patent from Denmark

CBD is not patentable but certain treatments are.
