LBS unit nav to NOV 21 = approx: $16.63
Lifecos still holding up well, but the banks in LBS gave some back today, and ended the day with the UNIT NAV losing about 8 cents or so...the close @ $7.85 leaves the premium @ $1.22 or about &

So far today LBS unit NAV is flat
So LBS remains positive since thursday's update , up about 16 cents in the past 3 sessions so far.

LBS UNIT NAV to Nov 20 = approx; $16.71
So spreadsheet ended up showing a 19 cent gain since the thrusday update on the 16th. Most of the gains were from the lifecos and LCS is likely to have gained more than LBS in that same time

Of more concern is probably the big commercial debt that is underwater in US and CANADA. Some analysts are predicting a bank meltdown in Q1 2024.... Not sure how much exposure the CAD banks have , but

LCS vs LBS
According to Mouserman's figures LBS's NAV is only 31 cents higher than LCS (6.67vs 6.36) while trading $1.79 higher. I know which one I would want to be long. GLTA

I got out of LCS , and was chasing trying to get back in.... but decided the big weighting in lifecos in LBS justifies having a bi of it. I am mostly in preferreds , but like LBS better than FTN which

Funny I am short LBS for the same reason you are going long -- the high waiting in Cdn Insurance. My short partly offsets a huge position in LCS and LFE. Why not buy those as you are not heavily

Premium not so big... LBS unit NAV in realtime is $16.67 jup about 15 cents since last thursday update. Last sale @ $7.85 means the premium is about $1.18 or about 17.6%. And its not

SO with the 4 CAD lifecos the as the top 4 holdings in LBS, it is also good play on their potential going forward. Nearly 50% of the NAV of LBS is in these 4 lifecos, that have outperformed the banks
